FAQs

Apples and Produce

  • We currently grow nine varieties of apples, and have just added more. Our garden is small, but growing, as we expand our farm each year.

Any apples or produce not grown on our farm are sourced from local Ohio or Western PA farms. We carefully select these farms to make sure we are providing the best for our customers!

  • U-Pick Apples will start September 16th and go until mid to end of October.

Visit our market to buy a U-Pick bag, sold in peck or 1/2 bushel sizes. After purchasing your bag you can wait outside our store near the benches for a wagon to pick you up, which comes around approximately every 10 minutes. We do allow cars to drive back if they’d like, but bags must be purchased in the store beforehand. Directions for getting back to the orchard are given in the market at checkout.

Check our website, Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on our U-Pick schedule!

  • Not at this time.

  • Apples are best kept refrigerated and moist. We suggest you keep them refrigerated in a plastic bag with a folded, damp, paper towel or stored with water droplets on them. This is especially important to do with yellow apples which tend to shrivel in time. Cellars and attached garages can be the next best alternative as long as they do not freeze, but kept cold. Putting a blanket on the apples will help keep them warm when conditions get too cold.

  • Most apples are excellent for cooking and baking, depending on your preference.

  • Deer apples are sold in 1/2 bushel bags and cost $5/bag. We typically have deer apples in our market from September to January.

Supplies are limited based on the time of the year. We highly suggest calling the market before stopping by, as these apples sell very quickly.

Deer apples are not sold for human consumption.

  • Our fresh apple cider is heat pasteurized, which gives it a longer shelf life and enables us to sell it in the orchard.

  • Our peaches are picked mature, but firm ripe to prevent bruising. They will soften up in a few days at room temperature and taste great. Kept refrigerated, you can expect for peaches in good condition to last 2-3 weeks.

  • Our website and social media pages are updated regularly with lists of the apples and produce currently in our store.

Click the Instagram or Facebook logos at the bottom of this page to see updates.

  • We sell custom gift baskets in our market. Customers are able to specify what they’d like in their gift basket, or give us a price range.

To request a basket, call our store or fill out the contact form here.

  • Our baked goods selection is growing!

We sell apple pie, apple bread, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin rolls, sugar cookies and more. The baked goods selection varies daily, but you can place a pickup order by calling our store.

During the holidays we take orders for a variety of pies and Christmas cookie trays. Check back after Halloween for more information!
